Which Shark Upright Vacuum?

Anonymous
I have read glowing reviews of Shark upright vacuums but when I went to order one on Amazon I was instantly overwhelmed with all of the options.  For those of you who like your Shark, which of these models do you own?

*Shark Navigator Deluxe non-lift away (Champagne)
*Shark Navigator Lift Away Professional (white)
*Shark Rotator Professional Lift Away (white & red)
*Shark Uplight Upright vacuum (terracotta)
*Shark Rotator Powered Lift Away (Bordeaux)
*Shark Apex Duo Clean Powered Lift Away (Espresso)

Figuring out the model names and differences is so annoying! I just went through this last month and ended up with this one (although I think it was on sale at the time, plus I used the BBB 20% off coupon): https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/shark-reg-rotator-reg-powered-lift-away-reg-with-self-cleaning-brushroll-upright-vacuum/5440153

Very happy with it, and really like the lift-away feature.

I have the Shark Navigator deluxe lift away from Home Depot. It’s fantastic - picks up way more dust than my previous vacuum.

We just got this and I love it: https://www.amazon.com/Shark-Navigator-Professional-Anti-Allergy-NV360/dp/B00JH98GR4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=shark+navigator+lift+away&qid=1613881730&sprefix=shark&sr=8-3

Before this, we had a Shark Liftaway that was a major lemon and it took me a while to get back on the horse. But glad I did.

it’s not expensive and it’s great!

We have had this Shark Navigator for 5 or 6 years - https://www.amazon.com/Shark-Navigator-Anti-Allergy-NV42-Champagne/dp/B007L5I7DY/ref=sr_1_21?dchild=1&keywords=shark+upright+vacuum&qid=1613916085&s=home-garden&sr=1-21 While it doesn't lift away, it does a great job on the floors and rugs. We have since relegated it to basement duty. We only use the hose portion to do the sofa down there to grab stray popcorn/snacks. We ended up getting this lift away version for the upper floors - https://www.amazon.com/Shark-Lift-Away-VacuumHEPA-Filterand-Anti-Allergy/dp/B07RZMRJ4W/ref=sr_1_30?dchild=1&keywords=shark+upright+vacuum&qid=1613916085&s=home-garden&sr=1-30 We like the duo-clean head because it seems to buff the hardwood floors and gets fine dust off that the original Navigator did not. I also like that the pod detaches and I can easily vacuum under furniture like we did with our old Kenmore canister.

We've had the purple navigator lift away for 12 years, no joke. I've had to repair the canister lock a few years ago and the hose finally ripped last summer, but nothing some ducktape couldn't fix. Waiting for the motor to die before replacing.

We have this one from BBB and I've been very happy with it:

It's lightweight (multiple stairs in the house and I have no issues), easy to use, and easy to keep clean. I used a coupon and it was a great pruchase.

I have the white and red Shark Rotator Professional Lift Away mentioned above. I think it's been about four years since I purchased it and I am still impressed with its performance. I didn't have high expectations because it cost so much less than my previous Dyson. However it outcleans the Dyson in every situation. Definitely better on the carpeting and floors. The tools and hose are so much easier to use on the Shark too. I will definitely buy another when the time comes.

My mom and I just traded Shark vacuums that we purchased last month. She bought the big top of the line Apex upright. Unfortunately, it's just too much weight for her. I bought the "UpLight" model last month which is much lighter in weight but also has a much smaller bin since it's basically a stick. It works really well but with kids and dog I was emptying it after every room. I will say that I agree with my mom. The Apex Duo Clean is quite a beast to steer at times but I like the larger bin and it cleans really, really well. I tend to break up my cleaning so I haven't done my entire house with it at once but I'm pretty sure my wrist would be angry if I tried.

I just bought the Shark Cordless Pet Stick and love it! Super light weight and easy to pull out and clean daily. My favorite covid purchase!

We just went through this a couple months ago! I did a lot of research. I was originally going to get the navigator, but ended up with this rotator above. We are really happy with it! It is so much lighter than our old vacuum (I was worried it would be too heavy). I actually like vacuuming now! I never thought I needed the LED lights, but now I love them. It really shows you all the dust on wood floor. We also got it from BBB with a 20% coupon.
