It's called "Searching for Italy" OP.

Oh I love the guy too! He was amazing in Julie and Julia as Julia Child's husband... in FRANCE! and beyond.

Thanks OP for this post, without it I would not know about this.

I too missed the first episode and have been unable to find it. Tried the app but couldn't get it to work.

First episode airs as a repeat Sunday at 8pm on CNN (followed by second episode at 9pm).

I accidentally tuned in when scrolling through channels last weekend, and got sucked in! So good.

Tucci is so boring. I was really surprised as I like him as an actor but he just has zero charisma or charm interacting with anyone else on the show. The scenes of Italy are beautiful but as a host he is terrible.

He is one sultry-looking man.

He speaks Italian pretty well! Look for it On Demand, OP.

Agree. The scenery is gorgeous and the food looks incredible, but he's so flat and charmless, which is shocking to me.

I also agree about Tucci. Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix is much better.

I'm in love with this show and I miss travel so much now during the pandemic.

My dad was 1/2 Calabrian and a complete and total foodie, great cook.

In retirement, he traveled all over Europe with my mom---but went 8 times to Italy. Watching this show, is great reminder of all the things he loved about Italy and all of the stories he told through the years. My only regret is that I didn't accompany him on one of those trips to Italy. We traveled a lot too, but for whatever reason never made that trip together. I would have loved to seen it through his eyes.
