Family friendly beach closer than Outer Banks?

| We usually go to the Outer Banks in the summer with our kids, but this year I'll be very pregnant, so we're thinking we'd like to go some place with a shorter drive. We're looking for some place that has good waves for the kids to play in and some place where we could get a house basically on the water, so I don't have to haul stuff too terribly far. I don't know anything about the MD and Del beaches. Any advice/suggestions? |
