Does anyone know how many weeks the summer Super Y season is?
i.e. how many weeks of games?

is it 8? 10?

Thank you so much!

usually 6-8 games. Mid June to first week of August at the latest.

NP- what are people's overall feeling of this? Do the kids enjoy it? Good competition or watered down? Too stressful for summer?

900$ for 8 games?!

Who charges $900?

Decent enough competition for the summer. Not $900, typically between $400-600 depending on club. Really no other summer game in town though, unless you do the small sided stuff.

Once you hit U15, the experience is diminished if you are trying for next level. Practices might be helpful but elite players are better off doing iv1 training and hitting ID camps.

More than the games and competition, practices worth the cost. Practices in some clubs include fitness, Kids exercise instead of playing video games or watching TikTok. The ID Camps are worth too but last one or two days and you need to sign for extra training or other clinics.

Yep. Super Y is a great way to stay playing 11 v 11. But private training and camps are better imo.

This is my question. We will do a couple of weeks camp. But would you say super y< private training?

My younger ds just want to keep playing soccer.

It really depends on age and player level. ECNL/GA or NL players competing in regional and national playoffs, which go into July, are better off doing ID camps, clinics or small group trainings. They could also use the rest before jumping into pre-season which usual starts by mid-August. Others who aren't at that level might benefit from Super Y. If extra playing time helps with development, then do it.

This is his first year of eligibility for super y and he is a B team player at a club who usually has about 5-6 teams.

You’re in Loudoun. We feel sorry for you. Leave that cult as soon as you can or the cesspool has you too indoctrinated with their hashtags?
