I don't mind running in snow, but freezing ran and sleet... ugh. The trails by me are salted so a few miles will be fine, but I'm having trouble mustering up the motivation to head out.
Anyone want to accept the challenge to just do it and run in this mess? How about a mile. Can we all agree to just one mile? I will if you will. Anyone? |
| Nope. I will go out in cold, wind and rain but I'm not going out in sleet and freezing rain. Not worth the risk of slipping and twisting or breaking something. Good luck! |
Same here. I injured my knee before slipping on a patch of ice. Not risking it again. I don't mess with ice/sleet/hail. |
|
Absolutely not.
I am slated to do five miles today for my training program but it isn't happening. Hate to miss a day but I won't risk injury. |
| Yoga today. |
| I'm pretty hard core but not today - unless maybe you have Yak tracks. I did indoor bootcamp in my basement. |
| Sorry, no. I did go for a 5 mile walk instead, but I'm worried about falling and getting sidelined from an injury; not worth it. |
|
I went out, it was actually not bad at all. Not slippery in Alexandria. Sidewalks hadn't been walked on so they had great traction.
Sleet did heart my face though, sadly. |
| Not worth the risk. |
Ditto! Day off! |

Don’t be a Chelsea.

| I just walked two miles in my neighborhood in Silver Spring, it wasn’t bad at all, just slushy. Not sure I’d try to run though. |
| I ran through all the 20-30 degree days in DC and even during icy rain last week, but today I used my treadmill for the first time in weeks. Don’t want to risk slipping or twisting something. |
|
It really wasn't bad or slippery out - like running in 1" of snow. Last weekend was FAR worse.
Tomorrow morning will be bad I'd bet, but for those of you that got a run in earlier today... good job, and wise decision. |
| Day off today. This weather is too gross! |
