I’m
Wondering if any drugs or monitoring would be covered? I’ve done initial screening at SG and everything looks really good for me numbers wise and hsg was clear but obviously that doesn’t tell the full story. I know federal insurance doesn’t cover actual IVF but wondered if any part would be covered. Also wondering what the cost might be at different clinics in and around Nova. Not necessarily tied to SG but did read they have higher success rates. |
| It doesn't cover anything, including drugs, if prescribed for IVF. |
| Nothing for IVF specifically, but the fertility testing is. |
| Zilch. My testing before shady grove was covered. Once shady grove confirmed a pregnancy I didn’t return for any more ultrasounds or betas. We were a bit broke and that was like $300 each time. Instead I transferred to my OB quickly for a 6 week ultrasound for free |
| No drugs or monitoring. Only the diagnostic testing is covered. |
| I also had Fed BCBS and it didn’t not cover anything. I recently switched to Aetna and shady grove has a discounted price for Aetna (about 10k for single cycle with PGT) doesn’t cover meds but it’s considerably cheaper |
I'm confused by this, because once you're pregnant you become an OB patient and those costs should be covered by insurance if the clinic is in-network. |
If they code it as part of IVF, they won’t be covered. And many offices consider them part of the IVF package. Yes it’s a scam. |
