What happened to the Relationship (explicit) forum?

It used to be. It had been sad for years.

It's gone. Jeff removed it yesterday.

I thought there were fewer forums in that part of the forum list, but didn’t realize explicit was gone. Shows how much interest I had in it, I guess.

It was pretty nasty. I won't miss it.

Traffic was very low. On a good day it might get 4 posts. Many days there were no posts at all. It was also attracting a lot of spammers and scammers. On top of that, even though there was no advertising in that forum, advertisers are increasingly using braindead spiders that crawl the forum and were too stupid to realize that forum didn't have ads (or they didn't care). So I was constantly having issues with ad networks. It just made sense to get rid of it.

BTW, just to add to the above. Advertisers are increasingly focused on content quality and very sensitive to anything sexual. So, it is likely that more threads in other forums -- especially the non-explicit relationship forum -- will get deleted than in the past.

How about that really graphic thread in, I believe, trying to conceive -- about four years ago. The subject matter is long forgotten by me but I remember it being evolving into one that was really racy but not quite explicit.

what is really annoying though is that Jeff also deleted in the relationship forum the ones linked to sexless marriages. Maybe i am dreaming but i think they are gone. I dont understand, they were very useful and not explicit. What is the rule?

Over the weekend, a number of threads in the non-explicit relationship forum went missing. I have no idea why.

But, I assure you that there is no shortage off "sexless marriage" threads in the forum.
