onesies/T-shirt and Diapers/pullups choices

My newly turned 2 year old DD has long legs but short torso, so she can fit 15-18 months old onesies (with snaps button on the bottom) & wears 2T-3T pants. We have not started potty training yet, and what should I send her to the daycare on the top in April? Onesies or regular shirt? And, should I send her in pullup or diapers to daycare? We are not planning to potty train till maybe summer.

Pants and t shirts. It will help with potty training when the time comes, and provide opportunities for you DD to practice pulling her pants up and down. But even before potty training, onesies are a pain for daycare staff because they are more effort when changing diapers as well as if a kid needs to change due to a spill or craft mishap. Things that are easy to pull off and put on are best.

And you didn’t mention it, but during potty training, dresses can be a no-no. The hardest thing for them at first is just getting to and sitting on the potty. It’s hard for them to hold up a skirt on their own. Much easier to pull down pants or shorts.

Oh and ask the center the diapers/pull ups question as they probably have a policy. If she’s in a room where no one is potty trained, disperse are probably fine. But as soon as she’s trying to use the potty, pull ups are do much easier. But the. Done kids train fast and go right to underwear. It’s really hard for us to tell you— depends where your kid is at in April and the center policy.

In general, no skirts, overalls, or anything with a button waist. Soft, elastic-waist sweatpant type pants, shorts, and leggings are the best not just for going to the bathroom but also for overall comfort and playing outside.
