| I was sure I saw a post at one time about good books for parents to read and others for girls to read to understand and survive mean girl world, but I now cannot find. Anyone know the link or apologies for asking what I swear is already posted here, but any suggestions? Thanks, |

the bible
seriously, get her into a bible study group with like minded girls who aren't bullys but love one another maybe sisterhood of the traveling pants? |

Untangled?
Queen Bees and Wannabees? I’m not sure what the PP is talking about |
Bible-thumpers are the worst for being mean. |
| I'm reading Untangled. I think it's helpful. |

| I just ordered the smart girls guide on what to say. I haven’t read it it but it looks promising. |
+1 for all of these. Read Queen Bees and Wannabes first. |
Oh this made me laugh! I have no doubt that many church goers are nice people, but I have met MANY bible devotees who are simply nasty people. Church does not always equal good person. |

Maybe time to watch a medley of mean girls movies with your daughter and discuss the characters’ progression. I recommend:
-Saved! (Hilary Faye) -Heathers -Clueless (although not strictly about mean girls, Tai’s transformation is instructive) -And of course, Mean Girls (discuss how Cady and Janice are themselves mean girls) |
| Also - you might be able to find some videos of the authors for these books. I was able to attend a speakers series with the author of Untangled earlier this year. Sometime the speaker with Q&A can help accelerate the support you need. |
Not to mention that the Bible is generally abusive to women. What an awful idea. |
Untangled is probably the best Teen book I've read. It's not solely focused on queen bees but it is addressed. And overall offers good insights/coping mechanisms for these years. |
Agree. Catholic School K-12, here. |
