What happened to the Green Acres Dog?

So in opening credits Green Acres Lisa Douglas is on the balcony of her NYC Penthouse petting her cute kitten designer dog.
Oliver Douglas grabs her hand and it is “goodbye city life” and next thing she is with Oliver in front of farm. But dog is not there and never seem again. Is that weird? Why put the dog in at all? |

Some possibilities:
1. It ended up living with them but didn't like being with Arnold the Pig so you never saw it on camera 2. Lisa Douglas gave the dog to one of her wealthy, NY socialite friends since she didn't want to bring it to the country to live with her 3. How do we know that was Lisa's dog to begin with? Maybe the dog actually belonged to one of her wealthy, NY socialite friends and she just happened to be dog-sitting it when they shot that one scene for the opening? |

You are having me watch the first episode of Green Acres to see the dog.
The dog is in the first episode. I then googled and found this on IMDB: During the first three seasons, Lisa Douglas had a pet terrier named Mignon (Mignon). It was never credited, but appeared in 11 episodes through the beginning of season 3. Mignon the dog also appeared in two episodes of season 3 of Petticoat Junction (1963) (concurrent with season 1 of Green Acres) with the Douglases guest starring.
