Finding an MCPS elementary math teacher to tutor my child

How does one go about finding an MCPS elementary math teacher who could tutor my child? I obviously don't want to hire someone who teaches at my child's school to avoid a conflict of interest. Thanks for the advice!

MCPS won't allow a teacher to tutor a student in their school because of the conflict of interest. I was an MCPS teacher for over 6 years and now I have my own tutoring business. I have two tutors on staff who are both MD certified teachers, one who currently works for MCPS and one who worked for a private school in the area. Interesting because I just spoke with my DS' MCPS teacher and asked her tutor over the summer - she said yes. She is a stickler for rules, so if it was against regs, she would not do it - that much I am sure of.

Trust me- it is against the rules- that doesn't mean people don't do it.
