Hi all
45y, 5'3" and weigh 210lb. I would like to lose 50 lb but find that I work best when I have a support system and do it with a group. Has anyone worked with an online group coaching for weight loss/fitness. I am finding a lot on 1-on-1 coaching but not many group ones. Look forward to any insight! |
| I don't have an answer for you, but I'm trying to lose 15 pounds. |
| Are you looking for something like Noom? |
| I did a group through my insurance. It was free and they sent me a fitbit and a bluetooth scale. It's called Sharecare Scale back. They have groups at a variety of times which is really helpful if you have kids. All virtual. The groups were a bit meh to be honest. Most people had their camera off. But you do have access to the leader who is a nutritionist. And there were some helpful aspects. |
| I am looking for something similar. I did start IF 8 days ago. I’ve never done anything like this before but enough was enough. If you’re interested, lmk. |
| Maybe we could form our own? |
| I think WW would work well for you. There is an option where you can do virtual group meetings. |
I’d be interested. |
| I'd be happy to join a group. We can take it off DCUM for some privacy. I have lost 40 but hope to lose another 60. |
| I would love to do a dcum weight loss group! |
op here - thanks for all the support! I am not very social media savvy so not sure how to do a private group like this but am willing to join any option! |
I thought noom was just 1-1 but I will check again, thanks |
It's 1 on 1 for a coach and you get a group too (it takes a few weeks). I talk to someone in my group who I like. There are probably a ton of Facebook groups but watch out for MLM peddlers. |
| Half Size Me has a free podcast and then you can pay to join for teaching modules and either a facebook group or, if you don't do facebook, a forum like this but dedicated to weight loss. I think there are groups, too, but i don't do them. I do like the slw-and-steady approach for long term success. |
