Metro fare change

| Do the machines give you back bills as change? For example, if you use a $20 bill to pay for a fare card and only want $5 on the card, does the machine give the $15 in change in bills or coins (like the post office stamp machines)? |

| Ok, thanks. I kind of thought that would happen. Do the fare machines accept the dollar coins for payment, or just nickels, dimes and quarters? |

| Hmm, can't answer that question but I imagine if they are giving out the dollar coins, they probably accept them. You can also use a credit or debit card. |
