ECNL Super Cup and GA Champions League

What do you think of the recently announced ECNL Super Cup and GA Champions League? Do they create more opportunities for top players and clubs? Do they take away from the regular ECNL and GA leagues? How will they affect recruiting?

ECNL super cup seems like it will potentially do as much harm as good increasing politics and jealousy within clubs. Don’t know what GA champions league is

It’s good for the top 3-4 players on a team as determined by the coach. For everyone else it sucks but it re- enforced the caste system.

The same girls that went into ECNL's PDP system will go into Super Cup, so it's not really a new thing. The new part about it is that it will be bigger and will now has a club competition component to it. Playing against the best in a competitive environment is only going to help these players.

Selections will have a political component, and will not be perfect. All sports at this level are like this. But it's better than PDP because there will be more girls in it. In any event, it's not going to amount to much this year, we'll be lucky to have national championships.

Is the PDP no longer running? ( I mean when soccer gets back to normal).

What is post expansion? ECNL didn’t expand. They replaced. They expanded a little with the DA clubs coming back into the fold. So, the commitments would be even greater.

You have a lot to learn. It is the greatest youth girls league in the world. It’s a fact. Don’t care if you like it or not. No league has done more for girls. Maybe your forgot that it was so good USSF tried to steal it.

ECNL-R is absolutely not an expansion. It’s a league for the second teams of ECNL clubs. It allows the club more control of scheduling, etc while at the same time keeping the money under the ECNL umbrella versus sending the money to another league. It’s about financial stability.
