Sibley Question

Just wondering if Sibley has a family room/toddler play area or anything like that. We plan to bring our very active toddler to visit the day after the baby arrives, but I'm wondering if there's place to take a break if DC gets antsy in the recovery room (and starts getting into everything!). I'm thinking the cafeteria would be a good place for a break, and, if the weather is decent, a walk outside...Any other ideas?

We just took the sibling tour with our toddler and they did not mention anything like that. I think the regular waiting room, cafeteria & outside are your only options. They don't even let other kids in the L&D ward--only siblings. And the woman leading the tour was pretty clear that your toddler's visits should only be as long as he or she can stand to be cooped up there.

Thank you, PP, for responding. We didn't do the sibling tour, so I appreciate you sharing the information. I totally understand not allowing non-sibling children into the maternity ward, and we'll limit our toddler's visit too. I do hope that when DC first visits that I'm well enough to take a walk to the cafeteria or something (without the new baby obviously). Even though our DC is pretty easy-going, the reality of a new baby is going to be a huge adjustment for us all. Thank you, and good luck with your delivery.
