Yes, I read "Star" magazine.. Giuliana Rancic is speaking publicly about infertility and starting IVF treatments:

The fitness freak said, “My diagnosis was I wasn’t ovulating consistently and so my doctor recommended that I gain weight in order to start ovulating consistently. He said five to 10 pounds, which I know isn’t a big deal but I had to bite that bullet because I work out every day of my life. I love feeling good, waking up, working out.”

You know she grew up here? In the neighborhood right accross from Holten Arms. I went to school with her. She was always so fun and outgoing. She was in my older sister's class so I always really looked up to her and her sister.

I find it interesting that at 35 it is "AGE" . Look in the mirror - you are exercise bulomic and your body will not "let" you conceive b/c it thinks that it will not have the required calories to take a baby to term.

Yeah, I don't really believe age is her primary fertility issue. I hope she has success though.

I think it is a combo of age and low weight personally.

There are people on here who post about running 5 miles the day of their transfer and they don't make a living based on their looks.

Nicole Ritchie conceived at something like 80 lbs in part because she was so young.

funny . . . before i read this i was going to say - she should gain weight and that is exactly what her doctor said. she is unbelievably and unusually thin.

I love their show. I watch it every week but have to admit that the show makes her look bad and him look good. She comes across as so whiney and annoying when I am sure she is actually nicer in real life (base this on reporters I know who have worked with her). Anyway, I hope for the best for them--everyone deserves a break. Now I am anxiously awaiting my girl Kimora's return!!

Why is this person a celebrity? She looks like an alien, maybe that's the problem. Inter-species incompatibility.

So rude and uninformed! She is a "celebrity" because she made a great career for herself in broadcasting. She ended up being an on camera corespondant because of her broadcasting skills and on-screen charisma. She also has an interesting look, although you may find it "alien"-like. Please don't lump her in with all the reality tv stars and heiresses that have become celebrities from being famous for their fame.

You may not have noticed one of the previous posts, but she grew up here, along with many people on DCUM. So you might want to filter your comments a little better. To many of us, she is not just a celebrity we see in the media.

Wow, one person knew her marginally while growing up. That makes her a saint.

She's still overly thin and "celebrities" like her are the reason so many girls have self-image problems. Having seen her ridiculous show, I'm not impressed.
