recumbent bike recommendations

thinking about getting one for the house. have heard the more expensive ones are better/worth it....anyone have any recommendations? i've looked on line and see the name brands that i see in the gym (life fitness) for $1000+ but then less expensive ones for $200-$800. not even sure where to go to look at them. i don't want to waste $300 on a cheap one that doesn't work but no need to spend $1200 if i don't need to. don't need any bells and whistles.
