| I've e-mailed the Principal at our school a few times about various issues and have never heard back. I've cc'd the asst principal and another administrator also and no one responds. In my last email, I asked if there was someone else there I should reach out to, and nothing. Is this normal? It's my first year with a child at a DCPS school so not sure if e-mailing the principal and not hearing back is normal or unusual. |
She or he is recreating school from scratch every 3-6 weeks - they are busy 24/7. So never take this year as a limtus test to anything. Mark something if it is truly urgent - i.e. a child is beaten in a class. But other things like my teacher doesn't write back to me or another kid is wiping his nose. Let it go as the song goes. There are a million staff for each school - maybe you need the social worker; or a librarian - write them directly. |
| I emailed the principal twice in the 6 years they were in elementary school including one time a rock was thrown at my kid’s head and he got a cut. Why in your first year there have you emailed several times? What is so important that you can’t ask the teacher? |
| At my dcps school the rule is a response in 48 hours. Look up his or her instructional superintendent... |
