Are phone cases that look like wallets for old people?

I read this in some Buzzfeed list and it surprised me. And it stung because that’s what I had with my old phone. I have a new phone and am looking at new cases. I like the wristlet style. Am I dating myself? And before anybody says you do you I am asking for information. I still may buy it.

First of all, use what you like regardless of what BuzzFeed or “fashion” says is cool. Do you mean the phone cases with the credit card slots? Or do you mean the wallet that has a phone slot?

I am sure that Buzzfeed post you read reflects just an opinion of one author, not whole fashion industry. I prefer leather cases with credit card holders and I don't think silicone analogues will ever look better than top quality items represented at Labodet.com, for example. I rely on my own taste ALWAYS.

my 16 y.o. DD secretly loves my phone case (with driver's license and one credit card and $20 tucked in, magnetic snap closure).

She won't get it because it looks like it should be for an adult. But she knows it's perfect.

Buzzfeed is for old people. Don’t listen to them.

Phone cases are for old people. Why do you need a case for something disposable? That's the logic. Don't blame the messenger.

The wraparound wallet cases are pretty tacky and I guess do have a Boomer-y vibe. Old people are on their phone less than young people, so it makes sense that younger people wouldn’t really want a case where you have to fold back the front cover all the time.

A case that has a couple slots for cards on the back, no, totally fine.

Yes.
