This seems at least plausible. But it underscores how insane the speculation has gotten. Yesterday people said this photo is proof Catherine is paralyzed, evidenced by the way she’s sitting. Today they’re saying it is from a day in November she was seen walking around.

This seems likely. The question is who released it. And why was it so badly Photoshopped? Was it Kensington Palace without her sign off?

Right?! It's a mothers day photo. Guess what world I am posting photos from a photo shoot I took this summer for US mothers day. Breaking news! These people are going to be so disappointed when Catherine reappears just as naturally as usual in a few weeks and her and William carry on just as united as ever. Remember when she proudly appeared post partum with her natural stomach still intact and still looked lovely and regal? I just applaud her for even trying to be Queen and good on her for sending out an oopsie message, she is not perfect.

Why Rose? I actually wouldn't be surprised if a divorce or separation was happening in the background. It would explain a lot of the secrecy and bad PR attempts but I don't think it's for Rose.

In what circumstance would support for Kate dwindle? Not for a divorce, not for a seriously health issue, not for a mistress. There is basically no scenario that Kate doesn't come out on top.

How old are you? 20? If he is divorcing Kate they are going to drag her across the English press just like they did Diana

Actually your point that retouching is so common raises more questions for the BRF. If she wasn't looking great, why not just retouch? Why release a fake photograph that she didn't sit for?

This is clearly a breakdown of the royal marriage and the royal family is making the situation worse exactly how they did with Charles/Diana. They never learn.

Plus, the palace announced that the King of England has cancer. If they can announce that the head of the royal family (a more prominent and important figure than Kate) has cancer (seemingly a more serious issue than Kate's, as they stated "not cancer related") then why would they have issues stating the reasons for Kate's surgery? They already put out a far more shocking and impactful statement re: Charles.
It's 100% marital - particularly since Kate seems to be in camp with HER family. Going to stay with her mom and dad for an extended period of time while well enough to go out driving in full hair and makeup is not a serious ailment that she's recovering from . That's a separation.

I know when, for example, the Kardashians use heavy filters and pinch/pull their body parts in photos. I think it was Chloe who was even called out recently, where she posted a picture of herself that differed vastly from a video someone posted of her from the same event. But also, nobody was claiming Chloe was MIA at the time.

This isn’t filtering or pinching and pulling. This was cutting and pasting and altering a photo that was most likely taken last November and claiming it was taken in 2024. But most importantly, Kate hasn’t been seen in months.

I think it’s that AP, etc figured out it was not a photo from 2024. They pulled it because it was not at all what it purported to be, which is a huge breach of their ethics policy. Bad photoshopping alone wouldn’t have resulted in a kill.

I think for Kate, sending George to boarding school and increasing his public persona may be a tipping point. To date she could be primary parent and overlook any other issues in marriage.
