My kids have actually been enjoying it lately. They typically like online specials (though not as much as they'd like in-person specials), so we roll with that.

They do the jumping jacks and that sort of thing. One of them does the "homework" and the other doesn't. We get emails that the assignments aren't complete. Sorry, coach.

Mine do it or don’t do it. They’re on their own.

My general approach to distance learning is that the kid has to log in, but I'm not going to sit on him if he isn't totally engaged. So for gym class he usually does the exercises but sometimes just doesn't and that's ok.

Yes. They haven’t questioned it and seem to enjoy it.

no, they log in and then go out and play for that time

Nah, it's total BS.

Out of respect for the PE teacher that puts time into my children's PE - they attend everyday. While not the best virtual class....I am trying to teach my children that these teachers are all putting forth an effort so they should respond by putting forth an equal effort in participating. For my house it is more a matter of respect for all of their teachers.

Sure, why not. And then they go outside after school’s over. I like my kids’ PE teacher. If she’s showing up, so are we.

Well my sixth grader is graded on it so yes, but my third grader really likes it. They okay a lot of fun games and listen to fun music. I send him outside for breaks.

But if your kid’s PE class is BS I think you’re doing the right thing.

Nope. Kid doesn't even log in.

We attend about 3/4 of the virtual PE class. Our kid's gym teachers make it fun and engaging. I love hearing my 6 year old jumping all over the place. It's an active time.

But sometimes we are outside playing and we don't come back in to log in. That's ok too.

We don't do any of the asynchronous work for that class either.

LMAO! Our FCPS PE teacher just plays youtube videos. She doesn't even turn her camera on. My kids can choose whether to do specials or not, they leave the screen on and wander off. Surprisingly both got all 4s in all specials for their report card, despite never participating.

no, but if it was good i would encourage it. sadly, its terrible. music is awful too.
