Do you know the appx size of the Pre-K classes at Lafayette?

yes - pre-k at Thomson. It's been a good year for us. Class size 16-19. Teacher and assistant.

Pre-K at Washington Yu Ying & we couldn't be happier. DC is learning to read in English and has an extensive Mandarin vocabulary as well.

Pre-K classes at Lafayette have 20 students each - currently there are three pre-k classes (each with a teacher and an aide), expected to add a 4th Pre-k class in the fall.

Parent of a pre-k'r at EL Haynes Charter, and the program has exceeded my expectations!
A school tour will show you why!

Pre-K at Shepherd, and we love it! DD is learning so much!

Three Pre-K classes (two Spanish and one French), about 14-18 students each (with teacher/aide for each class).

2 kids who have gone through preK at Murch (different yrs, different teachers). fabulous teachers, 20 to a claSS, full time aide in the class. Way better than the preschool our oldest went to in preK for 18k.

Is prk k in DC all day? Can any child go who lives in DC? In Maryalnd only a few public schools offer pre k. The pre k in Maryand is for low income only and it is only 2 1/2 hours.

Yes, DC Pre-K is full day, after care is available, and it is not income restricted.

10:45 poster, which 18k preschool was it? Why was the public prek so much better?

1045 here
the teachers were much more excited, the mix of kids was great, the parents did not turn into people on a mission to get their kids into a private school-so the year was much more enjoyable for everyone, the curriculum was exciting and it seemed as if the kids learned and were engaged instead of the fully play-based preschool ( examples of units were photosynthesis, types of rocks, dinosaurs, insects/metamorphisis, space, parts of the body and how they work), the community feel of the neighborhood school...

the 18k preschool for dd1 was ncrc.
