Is light cramping significant?

I'm 36 weeks. I'm wondering if cramping could be braxton hicks. Am I just not noticing braxton hicks? I've been cramping every once in a while for weeks now. Thoughts?

Contractions do feel like menstrual cramps, if that helps. I think B-H feel the same as regular contractions. Only difference is frequency.

I asked my OB about light, vaginal cramps (yes, they feel kind of menstrual) and she said that they are normal as long as they are occasional (a few times a day, but not many many times per day).

I had them too when it got closer to "the date". They went away as quickly as they came and were mild enough that I didn't bother calling the doc.

...however 10 days later I had our DD.
