Vaccines vs. virus bs. School unions

Anonymous
I know many want to get back to school- but here is the hard truth:
- the South African/uk mutation increased it protein spikes in 8 months of wide infection rates rendering only 1 available vaccine highly effective (as far as we know)
- assuming another mutation to widely appear in next 6 months with similar protein spike mutation or higher, and even if everyone got vaccinated by next school year the odds are EXTREMELY high that another mutation will arise that current remaining vaccine is less effective against and repeat global spread
- current vaccines were engineered for virus from 1 year ago, like winning the lottery if they work against evolving mutation
- vaccines are slower than the virus mutations to make and distribute
- school unions will continue to site science as a reason not to be in class, and unfortunately they have wide support

Science: Both of the mRNA vaccines are effective against the SA variant. The adenovirus vaccines are likely effective as well.

Science - Moderna is slowly acknowledging it is “protective” against new strains but not “potent”. In 30 days they will announce a a third booster required to try and patch their vaccine with no clinical trials of any substance; but to try and stem original strain.

Like putting your finger in a crumbling dam.

Cool. So let’s just give up and never go back. Done!

Lmao a third booster... good luck with your health if you plan on injecting yourself with this shit a few times a year every year. Plus that flu shot haha

If y’all think covid is gonna disappear my gosh you’re brain dead - culling the population has never been this easy

"Moderna says its vaccine appears to work against coronavirus variants first identified in South Africa and the U.K., citing new results from lab studies assessing the blood of eight patients who received the shot. The study showed no reduction in neutralizing titers against the B.1.1.7 variant, which first cropped up in the U.K. And despite a six-fold reduction in neutralizing titers against the South African variant, B.1.351, levels remained above those expected to provide protection, Moderna said."

You know what? Could you please not share doomsday news like this? We are all going a bit crazy and this is the last thing we need.

We need to have optimism and hope and be a helluva lot more positive.

Radical Republicans will continue to cite unions and try to jam everyone back to school, too.

So we are all going to die and kids won’t be able to go to school ever again?

Thanks for that.
