Mercedes rfid key issues in Chevy Chase & Upper Wisconsin in NW DC only

Anonymous
this is a strange issue I've been having for years in DC with my 2006 S500 Mercedes. It only happens when I park outside on Wisconsin Avenue or nearby (maybe over to Connecticut) from about the Van Ness area north to Chevy Chase.
Pressing the button on my key will not lock or unlock the doors. I have 2 keys and have replaced the batteries and it still happens with both sporadically. It never happens to me in other parts of the DMV or when I travel out of state. Any one else experiencing these weird rfid issues? I have to take the metal key out and open the door with it, which sets off the alarm.

Chevys work fine in a Chevy Chase

It's because of the massive radio tower by Fort Reno (Brandywine and Wisconsin). Look up.
