March SAT

What are the odd of March SAT being cancelled in Maryland? For previous cancellations how much notice did you have? Thanks!

Not able to state the odds. Our experience in WDC was that the school/Principal informed the community ahead of time. We were reimbursed. Of note - no SAT scores were submitted with Collage Applications for this round of senior - Fall 2021 start. Accepted at many schools. SAT and ACT is becoming a Test Optional issue. Across the country this is a moving target and less in favor. 4yrs of Grades (and quality of classes), activities, references, and student essay is really what matters.

I was about to post the same question. Ready for register for March and just not convinced it is going to happen in MD. Also leaning towards a test optional application at this point.

We are in MCPS but registered in VA. You may be able to switch the location. Also, MCPS has said they will offer it during the school day in April.

PSATs were given this fall in FCPS. No reason the SATs cannot be given.

Already had one test center cancel. Who knows, we just have to roll with it and keep trying.

And yet in many, many places Juniors have not even had the PSAT yet. So apparently there are reasons.

My kid's registration (in VA) has already been moved to a much less convenient location.
