9th grade English H and history H versus taking world civ 1

If your child is going to take honors english and history in 9th grade, is there any reason why one would not take world civ? i was thinking that this means that world civ grade counts for twice as much. so if you were going to get a A in english honors and a B+ in history honors, would getting a B+ in world civ be actually worse? I undertand you can't really predict how things will shake out. everyone seems to be telling us to take world civ. FWIW, DD is getting A in both subjects in 8th grade AAP.
