I just changed jobs, it's completely different from my old one and incredibly stressful, I'm having to work every night after my son is asleep until around 3 am, I have no husband, and I have no family support.
And this week I: 1. Managed to cook a well balanced dinner every night. 2. Haven't missed any sports events or parent events or sent my son unprepared for something at school 3. Missed any deadlines at work. Thank you. Thank you. |
Good for you but how long can this last? You're setting yourself up for a fall. Now go to bed and get some sleep. |

Rock it, Superwoman....but I hope you have a rest day somewhere in your new schedule! |
SLEEP.
Kudos, though. Sending good things your way. |
Awesome. But don't keep burning the candle at both ends! You will burnout. |
I am bowing down to you, oh great one.
Great job! |
you're amazing! how can i type with my head down? |
Way to go, Mama! |
I'm glad that you feel happy, but I hope you don't plan on/don't have to stay up till 3 a.m. indefinitely. This will make you sick. By the way, how do you feel right now? Please get some sleep or else everything else will be compromised. |
so curious--what do you do? just wondering about the hours--why you have to work so many and yet are able to get to sporting events.
just looking for ideas |
Get some rest before you burn yourself out. |
OP here. Yes, I know I am due for a fall. So I'm tickled about making it this far.
Job, related to responding to the global financial crisis, and it's stressful because I don't know what I'm doing and so I have to learn it on the job. Sports: I still picked up my son in time to get him to his 2 practices during the week, and just worked afterwards. Dinner: really, that's the one I'm most amazed about. Anyway, thanks for all the nice validating comments. It's Friday! One more day to go! Have a great weekend my DCUM chums. |
Congrats!! |
HOORAY! Your schedule is no joke - hope you book out some time this weekend to sleep for 12 hours in a row? |
