How to sell parts from my car?

I have a 14 year old car that is no longer going to be used. Trade in value was pretty low because of some body damage. I got new tires last year and some new parts that were repaired a few months ago. These are worth more than the trade in value.

Is there a place or site where I could sell parts?

Craigslist. I had a similar situation and the dealer offered me an insultingly low price for the car. Less than the people that will come and tow your car away. I ended up selling the whole car on Craigslist for $1,000 cash. If you don't want to do that then use Craigslist to part it out then sell it to one of those people with signs on the road that buy any car for $300.

I had a 2001 Odyssey minivan with over 200k miles, engine didn't run right (bad spark coil, maybe) and transmission getting rather grumpy. I sold it to Nicobuyscars for something like $500.

A couple weeks later my friend's 2002 Odyssey got rear ended and he had to replace the hatch as part of the repair. He paid over $1000 for used taillights and a hatch with the glass, windshield wiper and latch. Somebody made money that week but it wasn't me.

My wife would note that she doesn't want to have an old husk of a car sitting in the yard for 2 years while I spend time trying to part it out on Craigslist to (maybe) make some money.
