Looking for a recommendation of a full-day center with openings for a 4.5 year old in the Silver spring area, though willing to commute a bit to Bethesda, Takoma Pk, etc.

Try MCCA Kensington Forest Glen. I don't know if they have spots right now but they might. And it's a lovely center.

If you are considering any preschool programs that run on the school year calendar, application deadlines may have passed or are approaching soon.

Evergreen in Silver Spring has a wonderful Montessori program with before and after care, and a camp that covers the summer months.

+1. Also it's worth getting on the list even if they don't have openings right now, for when centers are able to resume normal capacity.
