I am in week 39 and each day this week I sit back and need to think when I felt the baby move.
Has anyone else expereinced this? I wind up going and getting something with a bunch of sugar to eat or drink and within a few minutes I get a kick - but if it was not for that, I am not feeling a lot of movement. Any tips? Is it just that there is not a lot of room for movement? Or - hey call your dr. Thanks |
I think it's normal to feel less movement that late in your pregnancy because there's not a lot of room. But I would definitely call the doctor. |
Call your doctor.
Everything is probably fine, but it's best to hear it from the doc. |
OP here - thanks for recommendations.
I had some juice and kicking away. I think the fact that I am still working, a bit tired, ready to be done being pregnant etc may have influenced my remembering the last time I had felt some movement. |
Definitely call your doctor and stay on top of your kick counts! 10 kicks in 2 hours is a necessity. |
I also had concerns about baby movement. I am 33 weeks along and went into the doctor just to have them listen to the heartbeat. The doctor said the further along you are, the less room there is for baby to move so you may have to concentrate harder on feeling the baby move. |
OP, I did the same as you with my first pregnancy. I would literally wake up in the middle of the night and have a bowl of cereal or drink something cold to make the baby move, to reassure myself. I know how scary it can be. Hang in there, you're almost there. (Or maybe you've already had the baby?!!) |
