first deodorant for a boy?

my 12.5 yo is not there yet, but I imagine it will be soon. Would love to put off the Axe body product phenomonon as long as I can.

I would start by introducing a simple deodorant (not an antiperspirant)... Old Spice makes a range of different scents and seems to appeal to the younger crowd.
If noticeable sweat stains begin to appear, your son may want to use an antiperspirant but try to stay away from it while you can, aluminum can be dangerous.

Since the antiperspirants have so many chemicals, I'd stick with a deodorant, as PP says. Especially for a pubescent child.

When my son realized he needed deopdorant, we went to the drug store and he picked one of those manly man smelling old spice types and felt like a million bucks. A great memory for both of us. He is in college and still loves going for his signature scent.
