Op, are you painting the trim? If you’re not, you need to start with whatever “white” is there and pick something that will go nicely. The color of your flooring and cabinets is the other main thing.

All of the go to, popular whites can be good choices and you should definitely pull those chips, but you will need to look at them with your trim, cabinets and flooring.

I like BM simply white.

To add, but what paint color and brand of white paint would you consider mid-tier or a brand you'd use for a rental property? We've always used SW (because our painters swore by Duron back in the day).

I like BM simply white.

The entire property will be painted (trim, walls, ceiling). Very old hardwoods will be refinished and stained dark (nearly espresso). Kitchen needs to be renovated so I wouldn't count it in the paint color decision-making. Thanks!

We did "Just about white". Simply white was a little too bright for us (in sunlight) and this was a little creamier.
