HG, Cholestasis, & Preeclampsia

I sit on the toilet and puke in a bag (because I pee when I puke) and itch incessantly between dry heaves. I have a 2yo I'm the main caregiver for. 33 weeks and struggling is an understatement.

Any tips to calm the itching? I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

That sounds awful. Honestly, I would see if they could induce me at 37 weeks.

If you have preeclampsia what are they saying about induction? I’m so sorry OP - not much longer!!

Hang in there OP! My friend went through the same thing. Can you get help? Is family nearby? Maybe fork the money for a nanny for 6 weeks?

Even if it means going into debt, get help. This is a freaking emergency type situation!

I had cholestasis and the medicine did help the itching. So if you aren't on it, please talk to your doc. I guess the good(?) thing is that you only have 4 weeks left at most. They prefer to induce cholestasis moms before 37 weeks.

OMG stop it you spawn of satan. Ginger chews do not help HG. I literally HATED people who said this to me.

OP I am so sorry, I was there with you minus the cholestatis but + some weird heart palpitations (not as bad as itching!). I'm sorry. You can do it. There's nothing left but to endure the end. Outsource anything you can if you can. I am so sorry.

Look, I'm sorry it didn't work for you but you don't need to be so rude. Spawn of satan? Seriously? How overly dramatic.

It helped for me and you're being a jerk without cause. All you had to say was that it didn't work for you. Don't direct your anger at people in your life towards random strangers offering suggestions based on what worked for them on the internet.

Even if it doesn't end up helping her nausea specifically it doesn't mean it isn't a valid suggestion. If nothing else the gin gins get the taste out your mouth and the rest of the suggestions for itching are still valid.
