Letter to electeds on prioritizing school staff for vaccine

Wondering if there is a sign on or a template circulating? This is what we heard from teachers at our school that would be helpful. I
Anonymous
Huh? They already are prioritized.
Anonymous
They are next up (following the 75 plus).

They are already prioritized, and I support prioritizing only those teachers who will be returning in person. The teachers who will continue to work from home will not be at any greater risk.
Anonymous
Agree with PP. Teachers who are choosing to stay home even after being vaccinated should not be prioritized. Pass it on to someone else in society who will be working in person and needs it more.
Anonymous
Ok, but that priority means nothing, in real life.
Apparently IPL teachers will be vaccinated on 1/25
I am one of those teachers... and have not heard anything.
Just because Bowser puts it on a powerpoint slide does not mean its happening

You aren’t gonna be vaccinated on 1/25. They were only able to signup 7% of senior for vaccines this week. It’s gonna be a while.

It’s actually because Nesbit refuses to open large vaccination sites. They aren’t giving out many vaccines a week. Someone should start complaining. They should be vaccinating as many people as they can, as fast as they can. Instead, people have to navigate a clunky system and be told 11/12 sites aren’t accepting appointments.

She stated in the last conference that she thought it would people to wait in long times and cause confusion. It also may lead to lack of social distancing. This rollout is so slow. I don’t understand why more people aren’t up in arms about it.

Are you kidding? What a dimwit. So instead we delay horribly, and that's SO much better for spread??

I'm up in arms about it now that I know...

It's possible there's never been a better reason to wait in a long line and be confused. Except maybe to vote in the last election.

There should be vaccinations going on all day and night right now. Getting people vaccinated as quickly as possible.
