What comes after a baby bouncer?

Anonymous
So my 8 month old is beyond the weight limit for his bouncer. I let him sit in it to watch TV and then he slides out when he wants to crawl around and play. Other than a jumper, are yall aware of any seating/lounger options for 25lbs+?

Why? At this point he should just be crawling and playing. Learning to cruise and walk. Baby proof a little and let him run free

If he can crawl he doesn't need anything to support him in a sitting position. If you're just trying to contain him, maybe a playard?

Yeah ideally he doesn’t really need any containing things, best to just be having floor time. Put up baby gates so you have little areas to contain him but mos time should be spent exploring

Agrered, time to gate off a space.

No more devices. Free range crawling and pulling to stand is age appropriate.

Why is your 8 month old watching tv

Hi, Mama. I know lots of people are using screens more now than they ever expected to. Let us help you problem solve how to get the baby on the floor, no screen. What are your barriers?

Mine started using their learning tower at 9 months to come watch me cook (one was not totally walking by then, but could pull himself up, the other was walking). They also used their little chairs in the family room to sit in.

I kind of agree since OP has an 8 month old watching tv....but I try to be kind.

I think they’re supposed to be out of the bouncer as soon as they can sit unassisted but after 3 months , my kids wanted nothing to do with the bouncer anyway. They just liked rolling around on the floor. I got a plastic play yard like this for when they needed a safe spot to be while we ran to the bathroom or I was cooking.

My 6mo old hangs out in a memory foam ballpit propped up with a nursing pillow. Older sibling can dive in and out freely to harass her. We also have an exersaucer and a doorway swing but they are not used daily

You have an 8 month old in a bouncer???? WTH? Your kid is too big for a pack and play even. Gate off an area and let him have fun.
