Low heart rate at 6 weeks

I had my first ultrasound today- at exactly 6 weeks. The heart rate was 95. The doctor said she isn't too concerned at this point, but that they like to see it over 110.

Has anyone else had experience with this? Has the heart rate gone up eventually to a healthy rate?

I was told it should be 100 at 6w. Mine was 104 at 6w5d and I was told to not get too excited yet, as it should be over 110 by that point. Heartbeat was gone by 8w and had to have a d&c. It could really go either way at this point, so please stay positive!

I had the same experience as PP. Heartrate at 6w2d was 94. Our doc also wasn't too concerned and said maybe the embryo implanted a little on the late side. When I went back at 8.5 weeks there was no heartbeat and the baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks. Had a D&C a couple of weeks ago.

OP, I pray that the heartrate increases at the weeks go by. It is certainly not unheard of. There are women for whom the heart rate is low but all turns out well in the end.

Not so unfortunately for me. The heart rate was slightly low to begin with at 6w. Doctor cautioned me. I kept it in the back of my mind but stayed hopeful at the same time. At 8.5w the heart rate was the same, not increasing. Perinatologist said it was not a healthy pregnancy because the fetus was so tiny. At 10w, no heartbeat. D&C performed that same day.

my baby's HR at 7w4d was 106, very low for that stage. I never really progressed and I had a D&C at 10 weeks. I really hope your story turns out differntly. Best wishes

I had a slightly low heart rate with my MFM at exactly 6 weeks. I actually JUST found out about it yesterday at my OB appointment when he read me the MFM's paperwork. My OB took a look and said everything was fine. I will be 8 weeks tomorrow.

OP here - good news to report! I went back on Wednesday (at 7 weeks pregnant), and the heartrate had increased to 133. The OB said this was strong and healthy and completely within the normal range.
I of course won't really breathe a sigh of relief until I'm through the first trimester, but so far, things look good.
