Anyone purchased this or used it in the past? Is it worth it?
Yes. Not smelly. No need to weird trash bags and cutting and tying them up.
Love mine. On baby #2. It now smells when i open it but not when closed. Love it. Also it uses regular trash bags which is really helpful.
Oh and the reason its good it because only the lid is plastic. The rest is metal which is non porous and doesn't hold the smells.
I like it, but I haven’t really had to deal with smelly diapers yet. But I still like it and the regular bags are convenient.
Yep used it for 2 babies and no smell now. I will say that after the start eating food at 6 months, it’s best to take poop out right away.
I really like it. I usually take poo diapers directly outside, but it contains any smell that could come from pee diapers, plus it’s not totally unfortunate looking. You can use regular trash bags which is nice, but I registered for a few boxes of the ubbi bags and I’ve been happy with them (probably won’t need bags for like a year!). 10/10 would buy again.
I bought mine used for $20 off craigs list or facebook marketplace. Totally worth getting one, absolutely worth buying used.
Absolutely worth it. Started with something else then switched to the Ubbi and omg such a difference.
Yes, it’s great. I had a couple of diaper genies first that were a pain and broke easily. Wish I had just gotten Ubbi from the beginning.
Definitely. We wound up having a problem with ours almost 2 years after purchasing and the company replaced the entire item for free. Was not asking or expecting that at all, rather if we could get a replacement door for the lid. Definitely worthwhile before and after the customer service experience.
We have it and love it, but have a problem with bags snagging on the lid latch in the back when we pull out a full bag of diapers. Maybe we just need to change the bag more often so it’s less full when it comes out?
Yeah you can’t let it get too full. |
This is so interesting. I have the opposite opinion. Had it with my first and ended up switching to a munchkin and it’s sitting in my garage. I think the main problem is that it holds a ton of diapers so I ended up not changing the bag for a long time and it would smell horrible. There’s also nothing blocking or mitigating the smell when it’s open, so smells horrible any time it’s open. And it’s kind of a pain to slide totally closet when you have one have holding down a wiggly baby. The munchkin on the other hand doesn’t hold half as many diapers so you’re changing the bag constantly. But I find that the whole munchkin bag system works well.
