Family cookbook

Has anyone created a family book using pdf’s?
I’ve seen some sites that have you key in the info, but some recipes are in mothers/grandmother’s handwriting, so want to preserve that
Any one had success locally or with an online service? TIA!

I’m using Shutterfly.

I haven't done it but that's a great idea. My husband has recipes from his grandmother in her handwriting which include amazing and hilarious commentary...

My SIL gave me a copy of her grandmother's handwritten cookbook. She just photocopied it. I haven't used it though.

I printed my cookbook at Falls Church FedEx Print and Ship Center (Rt7 & Little Falls). I just scanned it at home and laid out each page onto Excel using the snipping tool. I paid a little more for the card stock instead of plain paper. It turned out beautifully. I am saving it to give to my DD when she grows up.

I am reviving an old thread. Anyone printed a family recipes cookbook? My almost grown kids have asked me to do this with my mom's and my recipes before they leave home.

I can’t speak to the finished product because it’s not complete, but I am using the Create A Cookbook site. Otherwise I would just use Shutterfly, or even just put xeroxed copies of my recipes in a three ring binder with sheet protectors. I have several of my mom’s recipes that are copies, and it’s kind of special to have it in her handwriting.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have similar from my grandmother and have some of them framed in my kitchen. Among my favorite possessions.
