Expectant and Postpartum Moms
Has anyone tried them? Did they work? I am getting desperate for something to work! Thanks...
I use the Sea Bands acupressure bands. They seemed to work, although it may just be in my head. Worth the $10 in any case.
Sea Bands did not work for me. I think that there were prescription bands that my doctor said she could right the script for, but they were not covered by insurance and she thought my case was too severe for them to work.

I used Seabands and acupuncture. Acupuncture was effective. I went to Lisa Eaves in Tenleytown. HTH. Feel better.

I used them, and I would say they sometimes seemed to help, other times not. It is worth a try, in any case, since they are not expensive.
Sea Bands did not work for me at all. I tried everything (non-prescription, that is) and nothing did the trick. Ugh. It passes though . . . for me, it was around 12 weeks when things started to turn around.
Sea bands were one of the only things that worked for me. They took away the nausea within 5 minutes. And it was so much nicer than having to load up on bland carbs or max out on candied ginger. I could keep a healthy diet, and still control the nausea.

The bands did not work for me........or gingerale, preggy pops, mints, or even the zofran that I begged my doctor for.
What was most helpful for me was having a calendar count-down of how many days I would most likely be nauseous (I estimated around 55 days based on most women's accounts of when they started to feel better) and crossing off days each evening. Low and behold the severe nausea lifted after about two weeks, was moderately bad for another 2 weeks and then blissfully disappeared altogether. |
