Peloton app for non-cyclists

If you use the Peloton app for non-cycling exercise, what are your options? What do you like the best? Are the options good enough that you would you pay for the app if you didn't have the Peloton bike?

(I know there's a free trial, I'm just asking before I start it)

I like the runs and stretches. I am pretty balanced and do a lot of running, spinning, and stretching. A few times a week, I will also do a yoga/ meditation/ barre or something else.

I like it and it keeps me motivated. I never want to miss a day as I have quite the streak going, so that helps me do a little something each day even when I am not motivated. Also, they always encourage a second thing, so if I go for a run, I might do a nice stretch after.

Do the trial and see if you like it!

I have the bike, but used the app alone for about two months prior to my bike arriving in the spring.

I loved all of the app content - the outdoor walks and runs, the strength classes, the stretching content, and I like the yoga okay. The meditations are nice.

A lot of people also use the tread workouts as outdoor runs but I've never tried that.

It's free, so you really don't have anything to lose by starting.

Tons of options. Yoga, meditation, strength, outdoor audio for running or walking, and cycling if you have a non-Peloton bike. You can also participate in all of their challenges (like workout 5 days in a week and get a badge). I used the app for a full year with a non-Peloton bike and got pretty hooked. So much so that I eventually upgraded to the real thing. Good luck!

I used it when it was free the first time. I used it several days a week. I did a lot of the weight lifting videos and the treadmill boot camp with our (non peloton) treadmill.

Honestly I use the app way more than the bike. I use the bike like 3 times a week but I use the app about 5 times a day. I rotate through:

-Outdoor runs
-Yoga
-Barre
-Strength
-Pilates
-Cardio/HIIT

We have the bike, but I do a meditation daily via the app (Ross Rayburn FTW) and yoga and strength several times/week. If we had a treadmill, I’d use it for that, too.

I mainly use the app for the treadmill and outdoor runs, strength, and stretches. I occasionally do meditation. I bought a cheap spin bike for cross-training, but it isn’t my main exercise. My DD uses the spin bike, however. She used to go to Soul Cycle.

Love it and I don’t use it for bike or tread. I do strength (sometimes cardio), 5x/week.

We have the bike, which I use about 3x a week. But I use the app 4-5 days a week, for running outdoors (and occasionally on a non peloton tredmill), strength workouts, yoga and the new Pilates content, which I am loving.

Are the app classes also live like the bike classes?

Yes, there are live running, strength, yoga, meditation, boot camp classes. I mostly do on demand because it fits my schedule better but I will do a live if I hit a milestone and I will get a shout out (eg 300 runs).

Yes but I just do them taped bc of my schedule. I don’t care about getting a shout out etc

I use it for the cycling. I've tried their yoga, pilates, strength, and meditation classes and I always revert back to favorite Youtube channels. So no, I would not pay for the app if I didn't use for cycling.
