Where to spay?

Anonymous
We have a 4 month old kitten. We called Spay Spot and they don’t have appointments until late April, which I think is too late. Any other recommendations for low cost spay? We can’t pay the price our vet will charge.

Why would it be too late? If it's an inside cat and not exposed to an intact male, you should be fine waiting until April. I'd get on the appointment list now and then keep looking for something sooner and cancel the appointment if that happens.

We have a similar issue-though with a pup. We scheduled with Spay Now for April, however, our pup will be 8 months then and we dont want her to go to her first heat.

I am going to guess that you have never had to live with a cat in heat.

Call veterinarian offices near you and see. It's a good idea to have a regular vet anyway for yearly checks and if/when issues arise.

Have you tried your county/city animal shelter? They frequently have a list of resources if they won't do it themselves.
