| Per the governor. A lot of the president's rioters are staying nearby in Arlington & Alexandria. |
| Insane overreaction IMHO. |
|
And the Governor has declared Virginia as in a State of Emergency.
|
Not really. The trash that rioted and attacked our country today are staying in a lot of Arlington & Alexandria hotels, and our neighborhoods don't need further trouble from those thugs. |
We have enough police + Nat Guard to keep an eye on things. No reason to lock down hundreds of thousands of people. |
It's not just attacking the capitol, it's also to prevent clashes when these out of towner trumpers go back to hotels, restaurants, and bars in Arlington/Alexandria, and simmering tensions in the nearby vicinity. It's only 12 hours. Deal. |
We’re in the middle of a surge anyway. Where do YOU personally NEED to go between 6 pm and 6 am? |
I guess you go to bed at 6 pm. Many people don't and have stuff to do after work. |
Things outside of your home that can’t wait one single day? |
| Super annoyed that this was annonced so close in time to the start of the curfew. My son was at a soccer field and I could not get there to pick him up by 6 - I drove as fast as I safely could. |
They aren’t going to arrest you or ticket you on your way home from soccer. |
It’s a freaking pandemic, what was so urgent? But this is exactly why they had curfew to send home workers so they wouldn’t have interact with drunk belligerent MAGA hats. |
| I love close to the airport hotels in Arlington so I’m glad about this, but I didn’t let it stop me from the quick trip to the grocery store I had planned. |
And I don’t feel bad about it because I got the notification at 5:55. |
