Sure sounds like they’re going back starting in Q3 at end of February. Wonder if any Ffx postponement will change that. |
Where do you get end of February? Third quarter starts at the beginning of February. |
Q3 begins Feb 2, so not sure it would be end of Feb. |
prek-2 teachers required to teach from classrooms jan 25, secondary feb 1...no word on 3-5 teachers. this is without students, of course, but that date will be announced thurs. big news |
Odd secondary would go back before 3-5. |
I think Duran is jumping the gun. Biden will take office on 1/20 and who knows what restrictions he's going to put in place. I'm guessing those dates are going to end up changing. |
Interesting to see what FCPS does, but Duran isn't even waiting for teachers to get vaccines. |
my only guess on that is because secondary is in totally different buildings, while 3-5 is in the same building as k-2? |
Biden says he wants schools open. |
Agree 100% |
It seems like Biden is more likely to put restrictions on absolutely everything except for schools - and work hard to get them open. Or maybe that's just me wishful thinking... |
True, but it sounded more like around March after they had a chance to get the virus a bit more under control and teachers had been vaccinated. |
I don't think this is a smart move. He couldn't wait a month to get the staff vaccinated? |
I agree. I don't understand pissing off the teachers to teach in an empty classroom pre-vaccine when his case could be so much stronger when he says ok you've all had the chance to be vaccinated, students will be in the building, let's go. it seems like a lot of drama and arguing when a BIT more patience could really force things to go back to (almost) normal |
What? I signed DD up for hybrid, assuming the metrics Duran put up on APS website have to be met before in-person learning would start. But now it looks like he is going to start in-person at the very beginning of February? Regardless if his own metrics are met? Can I change my selection to 100% Virtual now? |
