Two chemicals back to back

Anonymous
Hi ladies,
I am 31 and have PCOS. I am currently doing medicated cycles with an RE (letrozole, ovidrel trigger shot & TI). I got pregnant on our 4th cycle but miscarried at 8weeks6days.

I had a chemical pregnancy last month (positive test 12dpo that was slightly darker the next day but then slowly faded). HCG was only a 10 on 15dpo and dropped to a 5 on 17dpo and I started my period 3 days later.

Jumped right into another letrozole cycle and got pregnant again this cycle. I got my positive last Tuesday at 9dpo and the lines got darker every single day so I was super optimistic! My HCG was 34 on Friday at 12dpo which my clinic was happy with due to me being so early. They had me back on Sunday for a re-draw and my HCG only went up to 37. They told me to expect another chemical but are having me go back tomorrow to see where it’s at.

I’m obviously frustrated. I am on many of the supplements that are recommended in the “it starts with the egg book”. I’m on the following: levothyroxine, metformin, NAC, CoQ10, baby aspirin, vitamin d, vitamin c, myo & d chiro inositol and a prenatal (Naturelo brand).

Has anyone had a similar experience with multiple chemicals in a row? If so, did you eventually have success or find out what was causing them?

Yes: our problem was male factor.

I had this happen. I did not have success after, but am also severely DOR and was much later diagnosed with a uterine infection (endometritis). So for us, it could have been a combination of poor quality and the infection. You have had 3 losses, so you should qualify for a full recurrent pregnancy loss workup. I STRONGLY recommend you do that next. I feel pretty certain we would have had success if I had pushed for the additional testing earlier.

Op here- thank you. I’m waiting to see what my HCG comes back at today (but have fully expected it to have dropped) and then plan on setting up a call with my RE.

I had 2 chemicals in a row followed by a MC at 9 weeks. I wish I knew what to say to help. We are still trying and also doing everything recommended by It Starts with the Egg. Wishing you good luck.

OP here: my HCG dropped from 37 on Sunday to an 18 today so 100% another chemical. So frustrating.
