New mid size suv or crossover recommendations?

Currently have a 2007 Nissan Sentra but need something bigger for my two kids. Was looking at the rogue SL but hesitant because of transmission issues. I’ll have to note I did have to get a new transmission on my Sentra about 2 years ago. Was covered under the warranty. I also feel my Sentra is sluggish on the freeway. Looking to buy used and spend 20k. Leather seats, navigation, push to start.

Any recommendations are helpful.

Look into a Mazda CX9. Looks like you can get a 2017 with 35k miles for $22-$23k. With a little haggling, that may go a little lower. Mazda is the most reliable car maker currently based on Consumer Reports ranking.

I bought a 2021 Mazda CX-5 turbo and I love it! Speed+reliability. You should be able to get a used 2017 or 2018 CX-5 (non-turbo) in your price range.
