Kids With Special Needs and Disabilities
I have a 2.5 year old son with speech delay issues. He has been doing therapy in the late afternoons for the last six months with some improvement. He will be starting preschool in April and I need a new therapist who is available during the day. Any recommendation are greatly appreciated. thanks.
Try Skill Builders (www.skillbuildersllc.com). My son was older and we worked with two different therapists there for a total of 4 years. We stopped therapy last year and they were billing $110 per hour then. They do not participate in insurance, but you won't find many that do. My daughter had an issue with pronounciation of certain sounds and she qualified for services through Child Find. They came to her preschool once a week for an hour and and worked with her individually. This was free and she only needed 7 months of therapy.
Northern Virginia Speech and Language Center (part of dolley madison preschool) in Mclean.

We started with Fleming Speech Therapy and have been happy. They take BCBS-FEP. We didn't have to wait long before getting an appointment.

I've heard Building Blocks in Falls Church is good.
We are very happy with Building Blocks!
We've used both Building Blocks and Skillbuilders (with different children at different times). We were happy with both.
