Bancroft's passing scores on the DC-CAS are Math 46.96% and Reading 38.33% and they're trending down. Tyler's are Math 49.40% and Reading 54.22% and they're trending up.

FWIW, Elsie Whitlow Stokes' scores are better than either one: Math 65.71% and Reading 59.29% and also trending up. Also, Stokes offers both French and Spanish Immersion and it goes to 6th grade (Bancroft and Tyler end at 5th).

How hard is EW Stokes to get into? Its a lottery, whereas Tyler and Bancroft are both neighborhood schools, right?

I don't know how competitive their lottery is, but there's an Open House on Thursday from 9:30am - 11am. They could tell you there how many they got last year for how many spaces.

They're accepting applications through April 6th and the lottery is April 8th.

FWIW, Tyler is also a Catalyst school, doing an arts integration focus. Met the AP tonight, and she seemed great.
