Counter that shows DC Vaccinations?

Anonymous
I've seen DCs Covid plan and sign-up interface. I would also like to see a "ticker" that counts each DCVaccination. Yes, it would give me pure satisfaction to watch the numbers of the vaccinated rise in real-time (like watching TV). It also would add some accountability. I'd also like to know that DC has folks on 'stand-by'. Ampules are typically overpacked, with more than the stated doses. It would blow my mind if the ' extra' is getting tossed, when it would be extremely easy to have a sliding system where there are folks who are on stand-by, who are then first the next round. Tossing = criminal mismanagement. Thoughts?

Hold on...you think DC knows how many vaccines it has administered or even who has signed up? DCHealth is a black hole of information that is spoon fed to us as data that has zero basis on which to be evaluated. Something as simple as a counter would belie the fact that DCHealth is a sham.

They'll be happy to share data with us when we won't misinterpret it. Because apparently they think we need their spin on it first.

I follow Bloomberg’s tracker. It isn’t live, but I don’t think you’ll find one that is.

Interesting! Is it for the whole country, or broken down by area? I am saddened that the vaccine is available and administering it seems to be lagging. Would like to see exactly where we are with that in DC. Lagging in administering would be criminal ON TOP of not requesting enough (their first screw-up). While Federal Guidance is important and hopefully Biden will orchestrate more of that (or Romney seems to have some ideas!), why wait around? States have had a long time to prepare for this as well as the ability to call up the Guard and other resources.

I looked at the Bloomberg counter. Inexplicable how states are lagging, yikes. DC is doing better than MD--but why hasn't every available vaccine gone into an arm? Today's Post had an op-ed stating that they should give as many people the first shot as possible (and about 80-90% immunity) and then worry about round 2. I am starting to think this way if we don't want to be in this mire forever.

You can choose DC (or whatever state you want) with this tracker from Washington Post:

Thank you! It's shocking how slowly this is going in most states... what's the deal with states not being able to figure this out? kind of like when Covid first hit in the US. but we knew about it for a long while before. States knew the vaccine was coming all fall. I'm really disappointed in state entities.
