I haven't been to DC since the pandemic. How is DC traffic these days during rush hour (4-5PM)? I have to travel south-bound on the beltway from 495 to 95 on the 6th. Rush hour + protests, how bad is it going to be.

You should be fine. They will stay in the city til it gets dark and wreak havoc.

That day will be ugly, extremely ugly.

Not a ton of people but the ones that are coming are coming for maximum mess.

I would WFH if at all possible. There’s going to be a river of sewage flowing into DC.

I think the beltway at evening rush should be fine since all the deplorables will be sticking around to cause havoc that night. Just go around and not through town.

Just stay away from tourist hotels and downtown. Once you're like, in Columbia Heights or so they won't be anywhere near you.
